If you have seen “Deck the Halls”, you know that a good light show this time of year not only is a lot of work but it will set the holiday mood perfectly.
Forget Hollywood – we have some pretty amazing Holiday Light Spectacles right here in our own backyard! From Tequesta to Wellington and on down to Boca Raton, check out these pretty amazing displays! Plug the addresses into your GPS and go!
1) RICK HARPENAU – 6190 Sand Pine Court, Jupiter, FL 33458
Be sure to tune your radio into FM 106.9 to listen to the three Christmas synced to the lights. Watch the lights “dance” to the music.
2) SNUG HARBOR DRIVE – SNUG HARBOR DR., Palm Beach Gardens, Fl 33410
A street well – known to be one of the most decorated streets. Residents are even asked when the lights will be on by fans. Every year there is traffic from end to end from those interested in the decorations!
3) SHADY LAKES DRIVE, PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL 33410
This neighborhood of about 90 houses boasts almost 100 percent participation in the annual festival of decorating. How’s that for Holiday SPIRIT?!
4) LENOX and HOBART AVENUES, WEST PALM BEACH, FL
Near the Palm Beach Zoo, this neighborhood is just off Summit BLVD. A well lit neighborhood, it has huge lighted arches and lights on practically everything else! Take I-95 to Forest Hill Blvd. Go East. Turn left on Parker Avenue. Go to Summit Blvd., the second light, and turn left again. It’s on your left before you reach the Palm Beach Zoo.
5) TODD and HAZEL SKELTON – 2095 Windsock Way, Wellington, FL 33414
1 1/4 acres fully lit with 20,000 watts of lights covering the entire property. There are figurines throughout, and Santa on the roof waving to spectators. The entire two-story roof is lit up as well. Are they related to the Griswolds?hhhmmmm
6) LESTER and AUDREY GARMIER – 49 Springdale Road, Lake Worth, Fl 33467
At 90 years old, Lester is well known in Florida Gardens for his beautifully decorated home. He and his wife, Audrey (85), spend each night in December welcoming motorists through their semi-circle driveway to enjoy the Christmas decor.
7) THE NOVACKS – 4988 Palm Way, Lake Worth, FL 33463
Their display boasts a 150-ft. long candy cane tunnel, snowmen, reindeer and “Merry Christmas” spelled our in lights on their roof. They have more than 65,000 lights in all, covering the entire house. The roof is covered with red and green lights. Don’t want to miss this!
8) SID WALESH – 325 S. Atlantic Drive, Hypoluxo Island, Fl
9) WES ALBERT – 8 White Hall Way, Boynton Beach, FL 33435
32 channels of lights to music. You can tune into FM106.9 on your car radio to hear the music with the lights. The SHOW runs from 6pm to 10pm until December 31st or you can watch the video at www.wesalbert.com
10) RICK NEWMAN – 699 NW 9th Avenue, Boca Raton, FL 33486
Free 30 minute laser show and 40 minute sound show all perfectly synchronized to holiday themed music. Over 20,000 lights,special effects, animated figures, etc.
