A Little Tennis and A Little Golf

This week is a pretty big week in Palm Beach County for sports fans.  Happening at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center this week is the only ATP Champions Tour Event in the United States.  It is a competitive round-robin event featuring players that have been ranked World No. 1, a Grand Slam singles finalist, or a singles player in a victorious Davis Cup team.  Don’t miss players like Ivan Lendl, Andy Roddick, John Isner or Carlos Moya.  Along with the excitement of the tennis, there will be dining and entertainment as well as the ATP Aces For Charity Programme.  The ATP ACES For Charity programme is a new global initiative aimed at giving back to communities where ATP World Tour events are played, and supporting tournament and player charitable activities.

The event goes through March 4th, 2012.

While the ATP TOUR is what’s happening in Delray, the PGA TOUR is what’s happening in Palm Beach!  The Honda Classic is taking place at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens.  The Honda Classic provides the best professional golf action around, but there is definitely more to look forward to than what’s happening on course. The Michelob ULTRA Terrace, overlooking the main Practice Green and the 10th Tee caters to a full range of tastes in dining and entertainment. Cold drinks and food enjoyed on the open air Terrace allow for continued golf viewing throughout the day and when the last putt drops, the Michelob ULTRA Terrace becomes a Honda Classic bash. Each night a different band brings out the wilder side of The Honda Classic and provides a taste of the tournament that can only be experienced off the green.   Don’t miss Tiger Woods’ first professional appearance at the Honda Classic.  It is rare for Woods to experience a new event, but the 2012 Honda Classic will be a fresh stop for him on the PGA Tour.  Sure, things at the Honda Classic will be similar to other golf events:  there will be media members, fellow golfers and fans.  Yet, there will also be a unique aspect to the 2012 Honda Classic for Tiger Woods.  It is something he has not experienced before.
