Nearly 500 Run/Walk in Save The Jaguar 5K at the Palm Beach Zoo

It was a wild turnout for Palm Beach Zoo’s Save the Jaguar 5-K this Labor Day weekend.

Nearly 500 people kicked up their heels in support of the endangered species, with the net proceeds from the race going to help fund the zoo’s partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society, and helping to support species and habitat research and protection at the Madidi-Tambopata Landscape in Bolivia to help save jaguars.

The zoo recently welcomed Fiona, an orphaned jaguar from Panama. The zoo kicks off the first leg of its 2018 Big Cat Race series in January with the ‘Save the Panther’ 5K on January 6th.
