The 2019 Annual Leadership Education Forum (ALEF), From Idea…To Innovation, is hosted by American Friends of the Hebrew University (AFHU), and takes place at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach (2800 S Ocean Blvd, Palm Beach, FL 33480) on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 9:00 AM– 2:30 PM.
AFHU is a national, not-for-profit organization based in the United States. Working in close partnership with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (HU), AFHU provides programs and events in support of the Hebrew University’s internationally recognized community of leading scholars and scientists. AFHU helps to ensure Israel’s well-being by nurturing the nation’s greatest asset: the intellectual strength of its people.
The Annual Leadership Education Forum brings together researchers and academics from HU to discuss their work in fields ranging from health, agriculture, and nanotechnology to the humanities, environment, and life sciences. The day-long conference showcases Israeli innovations that are shaping our global tomorrow. This year’s conference is chaired by Jane and Dr. Peter Feinstein.
2019 ALEF speakers include keynote speaker Professor Eugene Kandel, the Emil Spyer Professor of Economics and Finance at the Hebrew University and CEO of the Start-Up Nation Central, a non-profit dedicated to strengthening Israel’s innovation ecosystem by connecting global business, government, and NGO leaders to the people and technologies in Israel that can help solve the world’s most pressing problems and keynote speaker Dr. Yaron Daniely, CEO and President of Yissum, the technology transfer company of the Hebrew University.
Also in attendance will be Professor Asher Cohen, President of the Hebrew University, and Ambassador Yossi Gal, Hebrew University’s Vice President for Advancement and External Relations Israel’s former Ambassador to France and Monaco.
The $150 registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, and full conference attendance.
