Avengers: Infinity War sets the stage for a blockbuster summer

On Thursday, April 26, the highly anticipated superhero film, Avengers: Infinity War, opened to rave reviews all over the world. This amazing film features an ensemble cast including Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner and Chris Pratt.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn, who received an early viewing of the film, tweeted the following: “Avengers Infinity War is INCREDIBLE. Wow!!!! And that’s all I’ll say for the time being.” –https://twitter.com/JamesGunn/status/976624295781613569

After seeing the film ourselves, we have to agree. It changes the narratives of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and sets the stage for even more adventure for our favorite superheroes.

As Avengers: Infinity War is the first Hollywood film to be shot entirely with IMAX cameras, you’d be remiss if you didn’t take advantage of seeing it at an IMAX theater. Locally, the film can be seen at the AutoNation IMAX theater in Fort Lauderdale. Tickets available by phone 954.713.0930, online at: https://mods.org/films/avengers-infinity-war/ or at the box office.

No matter where you see it, however, it is a film that must be seen to be believed. The sets, special effects, and writing make it one of the most engaging films of it’s kind in some time. If this is an indication of what we have to look forward to at the box office this year, it’s going to be a great summer for movies!
