Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu once opined, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” A great philosophy but what if you suffer from knee pain? On Wednesday, July 11, the Advanced Spine & Joint Institute will present an informative and interactive discussion about osteoarthritis of the knee at the YMCA of the Palm Beaches.
Osteoarthritis (OA), also called degenerative joint disease or degenerative arthritis, is the most common form of arthritis that results when cartilage in the joint wears down or is damaged by injury. According to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), nearly 15 million Americans live with moderate to severe joint pain.
During the one-hour presentation led by Gina Priz of the Advanced Spine & Joint Institute, participants will learn about early warning signs, symptoms, and treatment options for osteoarthritis that just might prompt a thousand-mile journey, if not a better quality of life. We think Lao would approve.
The free event will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. Refreshments and light bites will be served.
