BLACK FRIDAY: Celebrate!

For an “extra special” holiday post,  I asked one of my favorite foodies and my virtual friend, Laura Freed to guest post something of her choice for “BLACK FRIDAY”.

With all of the hype gearing us up for the big “RETAIL CHALLENGE of 2011”, I wanted something that would both be festive and yet, indicative of how crazy the holidays can be.  The Laura Freed did not disappoint!  The GRINCH MARTINI will definitely tell it like it is.  It is refreshing, sweet and has that “ggrroowwwl ” like every vodka martini does!  So whether you are fighting the crowds, sick of the holidays already or just ready to CELEBRATE – try this!

Laura is the Creator/Author of the Spellbound Cafe book series.  A Quirky Foodie.  And a Cheerleader For The Local Community.  Her local community is in Bucks County, Pa but her blog “The Laura Freed” is everywhere!

Below, is her latest post from her blog “The LAURA FREED”: http://yolaurafreed.blogspot.com/2011/11/grinch-martini.html?spref=fb

The Grinch Martini

Bah-humbug!

It’s the Grinch Martini, Christmas B**ches!!!
So good, so good, so good!
2 oz Midori
2 oz Pinnacle Gummy (tastes like Swedish Fish!)
candy cane and red sugar for garnish
Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake well.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass decorated with red sugar.

Garnish w candy cane. Chill the hell out and enjoy Christmas!
***note – I’ve been hearing that people can’t find Pinnacle Gummy Vodka – you can always use Pinnacle Cake or Whipped vodka as a sub – I think it would taste just as fabulous!
