In celebration of National Senior Center Month, The City of Boynton Beach Recreation & Parks Department will host their semi-annual Health Fair to educate seniors on how they can stay healthy, active and enhance their quality of life. The fair will take place on Thursday, September 20 from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the Ezell Hester, Jr. Community Center (1901 N. Seacrest Blvd.). A free shuttle will offer roundtrip service from the Boynton Beach Senior Center (1021 S. Federal Hwy.) beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Sponsored by Dr. Martha Rodriguez with MMR Healthcare and CarePlus Health Plans, the fair will provide valuable information that will benefit both seniors and those who care for seniors. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet local medical providers and learn about the services they offer. Vendors will offer free screenings for various health conditions like high blood pressure. American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be available. Each attendee will have a chance to win exciting door prizes and enjoy light refreshments.
