The Boynton Beach Senior Center (1021 S. Federal Hwy.) invites local seniors 55 and over to their open house held October 1-4 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Visiting guests are encouraged to drop in to play, dance, laugh, take classes and stimulate their minds by participating in all activities offered on these dates for no charge.
The Center provides a lively setting for community and conversation. Registered participants have access to activities such as line dancing, bingo, Tai Chi, karaoke and bridge. Group fitness classes and a fitness room provide opportunities to stay active and healthy. Live concert and jazz bands perform twice a week. Monthly themed parties and socials take place to foster engagement. Seminars and classes are held frequently throughout the year on subjects like bullying, computer training, avoiding fraud and estate planning from field professionals and Senior Center sponsors. Additionally, the Center offers notary services, medical screenings, blood pressure checks and massage therapy.
Annual passes for access to all activities are free for Boynton Beach residents and $40 for nonresidents. Passes are valid from October 1 – September 30.
