Caridad Center has begun to offer free health screenings to Palm Beach County residents on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at their clinic facility located at 8645 W. Boynton Beach Boulevard, Boynton Beach. The screenings are provided at no cost and include glucose, blood pressure and HIV testing. The services are offered through Prevention, Education and Treatment Program (P.E.T. Program), funded by the Florida Department of Health “Closing the Gap: Minority Health Initiatives” program.
Anyone tested found to be at risk will receive a medical referral to their primary care physician if they have one, learn how to become a Caridad patient or qualify for insurance through the market. There are no restrictions on who can receive the screenings and no registration is necessary.
“We are so pleased to be able to offer these free screenings for the first time. This program will provide even more people with the ability to take steps toward much needed preventative care,” Laura Kallus, President and CEO of Caridad Center said.
