Councilman Ilan Kaufer Files to Run for Re-election for Jupiter Town Council

On April 11, 2018, Councilman Ilan Kaufer filed his intent to run for re-election for Jupiter Town Council.  The election will be held in March 2019.

“While serving on the Jupiter Town Council, l I have made it my mission to support our local families, neighborhoods, and small businesses. I bring trusted and valuable experience to keep taxes low, ensure our Town is a safe place to live, and prioritize our local schools. I am running for re-election to ensure Jupiter continues to be a great place to live, work, and raise a family,” Ilan Kaufer stated.

Councilman Ilan Kaufer became a member of the Jupiter Town Council in 2013 and was re-elected in 2016 for a second term. Ilan was selected by the Town Council to serve as Vice Mayor in 2014 and 2016. On the Council, Ilan has prioritized public safety, increasing government transparency, supporting local schools, advocating for Jupiter’s families and local businesses, and protecting Jupiter’s quality of life.

 

Councilman Kaufer has dedicated himself to public service, representing Jupiter’s interests on the Palm Beach County League of Cities Board of Directors as well as the Loxahatchee River Management Coordinating Council. He also serves on the Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach County’s Elected Officials Advisory Board.

Councilman Kaufer is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he received his Juris Doctor and a Master of Forest Resources and Conservation with a focus on bio-energy. He is also a graduate of the University of Virginia, where he received his B.A. in Environmental Sciences and Politics.

Councilman Kaufer is also a graduate of Leadership Florida’s Connect Statewide Leadership Institute, Leadership Palm Beach County, and Florida TaxWatch’s Florida Citizenship Institute.

Councilman Kaufer resides in Abacoa with his wife, Stephanie, a local attorney, and their two children.
