Cathy Balestriere, general manager of Crane’s Beach House Boutique Hotel & Luxury Villas, today announced a new series of “Fun-Raisers” to benefit local nonprofit/community service organizations. Under the title of Tastings at the Tiki, each of the three benefits will be held on the third Thursday of the month from 6 to 9 pm and offer a special “wine and/or beer tasting” experience at one of the hotel’s two popular poolside tiki bars.
“Crane’s Beach House has been hosting benefits for local nonprofit organizations for more than a decade now,” says Balestriere. “It is a great way to have fun with friends and supporters, while also bringing critical focus and extra income to community and cultural groups that contribute to the overall quality of life right here in Delray Beach.”
Admission to Tastings at the Tiki in September and October is only $20 for members of the sponsoring organizations and $25 for nonmembers. Attendees will each receive one free drink ticket good for a beer, wine or soft drink, although there will be no cost for the sample wine and/or beer tastings; additional drinks will be available at happy hour prices.
“Crane’s will also provide an array of amazing hors d’oeuvres and tasty treats from leading local restaurants, and live music will be performed,” adds Balestriere.
Tickets to each of the Tastings will be available for advance purchase online and at the door that evening.

A Benefit for Delray’s Arts Warehouse / Artist Services
Located in the Pineapple Grove District, rehabilitated by the Delray Beach CRA, Arts Warehouse is an “Arts Incubator” space for artists and arts education, as well as exhibitions, events and talks. The Arts Warehouse provides developmental programs and assistance to visual artists locally, nationally and internationally. The evening will include a raffle and a special tasting of exciting wines from Chalk Hill Winery and Smith & Hook Winery, and amazing beers and ales provided by Saltwater Brewery,

More than 60 public relations and marketing professionals from South Florida PR firms, nonprofit organizations and local corporations are expected to attend this year’s PR YAK-YAK, along with numerous local print, broadcast and online journalists. The annual event is co-sponsored by the Gold Coast PR Council and PRSA Palm Beachand will include a special tasting of delicious beers and ales provided by Saltwater Brewery.

November 15 – Food Tasting at the Tiki
A Benefit for the HOW Foundation of South Florida
& Project Holiday
(7th annual BEST BITE Restaurant Competition)
About 250 hungry patriots attended the annual event in 2017 in which seven local eateries competed for the prestigious title of BEST BITE FOR VETS. Tim Finnegan’s Irish Pub in Delray Beach, which finished in second place in 2016, won the popular vote last year, edging out three-peat winner Caffe Luna Rosa, with Zorba’s Taverna coming in third. The competing restaurants at 2018’s restaurant “bite-off” will be announced in early fall. This event also will include a special tasting of exciting beers and ales provided by Saltwater Brewery.
The cost to attend BEST BITE FOR VETS is only $25 per person, which will include one drink ticket, a free “chance to win” ticket for special gifts, and a token to use for voting to select the winning restaurant. Every time a person buys a drink (alcoholic or not) from either of the two popular tiki bars at Crane’s, he/she will receive another voting token. At the end of the event, the restaurant with the most voting tokens will be declared the popular winner.
Funds raised at this event will be split evenly between:
+ Project Holiday, which supports local families who have loved ones serving in the armed forces around the world.
+ HOW Foundation of South Florida, which increases to increase awareness about the medicinal benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and raises supplementary funds for helping wounded warriors and other individuals receive treatment for HBOT indications not typically covered by insurance.
