The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County today announced that the popular series CULTURE & COCKTAILS concluded its 13th season with a musical flourish on Monday, April 2, at The Colony Hotel Pavilion in Palm Beach. More than 130 culture fans attended this delightful tune-filled finale.

The evening presented a fascinating conversation with Daniel Biaggi, General Director of Palm Beach Opera, and Beth Clark, CEO of the Young Singers of the Palm Beaches. They were interviewed by longtime radio DJ Tim Byrd, the founder of

Biaggi showed video highlights from the just concluded season of Palm Beach Opera, including Puccini’s Tosca, Leonard Bernstein’s Candide, and Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro.

The Young Singers presented two amazing live performances. First, 14 members of their Treble Choir, consisting of angel-faced 4th and 5th graders under the direction of Terrion Nelson, sang Pie Jesu and I Love a Piano. Later, Wellington Community High School Juniors Gianna Montella and Noah Zaidspiner brought the house down with their moving performance of For Once in My Life and You Make Me Feel So Young.

Previous CULTURE & COCKTAILS musical finales have featured 10-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune (2015); pianists David Crohan, Copeland Davis, and Wayne Hosford (2016); and cabaret stars and Legends Radio morning show co-hosts Jill & Rich Switzer (2017).

CULTURE & COCKTAILS was generously sponsored this season by The Roe Green Foundation, Roe Green, Founder, and The Milton and Tamar Maltz Family Foundation. Additional support for the series is provided by the Palm Beach Daily NewsFirst Republic Bank, and PR-BS, a Boca-based public relations firm.

The 14th season of CULTURE & COCKTAILS At The Colony is expected to return in November 2018.
