Dinosaur World celebrates 20 years of Jurassic sized fun in Plant City

Dinosaur World is celebrating its 20th anniversary (5145 Harvey Tew Rd, Plant City, FL 33563) The park opened its doors in November of 1998 and a lot of things have happened during those 20 years.

Formerly an alligator farm, the owners purchased the land and transformed the place into a dinosaur oasis. Now with over 200 life size model dinosaurs, and over 20 acres to explore, guests are transported back to prehistoric times.

In addition to the popular Fossil Dig, guests can pan for real minerals and gems in a mining sluice, uncover a life size stegosaurus skeleton model from under the sand, explore two museums with real artifacts, and even see animatronic dinosaurs that move and roar!

Dinosaur World has also added two new interactive shows to the mix – a Triviasaurus Rex Game Show and an Exploration Cave Tour with a paleontologist!

If you’re searching for a fun way to spend a few hours between Busch Gardens and Walt Disney World, check out Dinosaur World! It’s a time you’ll never forget.
