Florida Panthers Introduce Summer Cats Ball Hockey Program

The Florida Panthers announced today the introduction of their new Summer Cats program. The program is a summer ball hockey league sponsored by the Panthers.

The regular season begins on June 13 and each team will play seven games through the end of July. The top four teams in each level will compete in a one-day playoff at the BB&T Center on August 3. The winner of each age group will be crowned the South Florida Champion.

The three age levels able to participate are Mite (ages 6-8), Squirt (ages 9-10) and Pewee (ages 11-12).

To sign up, visit a local participating YMCA or Boys & Girls Club branch. The following are participating YMCA branches: Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton, DeVos Blum Family YMCA of Boynton Beach, Edwin W Brown YMCA of the Palm Beaches, Weston YMCA Family Center, YMCA Pines Family Center and Lauderdale Lakes Middle School. All Broward County Boys & Girls Clubs are participating in the program.
