Florida Panthers Loan Forwards Denis Malgin and Chase Balisy to Springfield (AHL)

Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has loaned forwards Chase Balisy and Denis Malgin to Florida’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Balisy, 25, appeared in three games with Florida including his first NHL game on Oct. 28 vs. Detroit. The 5-foot-11, 179-pound native of Fullerton, Calif., scored two goals with Springfield this season. He was originally selected by the Nashville Predators in the sixth round (170th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.

Malgin, 20, has appeared in five games with Florida recording six shots. In three games with Springfield he has registered one assist. The 5-foot-9, 177-pound native of Olten, Switzerland was originally selected by Florida in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
