Fundraising Event at PGA National will light up the night

Resource Depot is hosting their tenth annual Evening for the Earth fundraiser on Saturday, April 22nd at 7:00 pm. The theme of this year’s event is Glow for the Green, which ties in perfectly to Resource Depot’s mission of creating a greener Palm Beach County. Primarily local businesses and community partners who are fellow environmentalists will be in attendance. Proceeds raised will benefit Resource Depot’s many educational programs.

E-vite-header-v2The outdoor pavilion of PGA National Resort & Spa will be decked out in an array of fluorescent colors as attendees enjoy a round of glowing mini golf games. Winners of each game will be awarded raffle tickets for exciting prizes. Attendees are encouraged to wear white or neon-colored attire and comfortable footwear. (Please note that high heels are not permitted on the golf course.) The event will also feature items up for auction, including a one-week stay in a beautiful North Carolina vacation home.

Noel Martinez will be the emcee for the evening. Martinez has an extensive background of working with other non-profits and was recently named Executive Director of Leadership Palm Beach County.

Cocktail hour sponsored by Florida Power & Light will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by golf games from 8:00-10:00 pm. Tickets are $100 per person and are available at

Resource Depot is a non-profit organization in Palm Beach County that has been inspiring the masses for 17 years to reduce waste by way of creative reuse. Each year, Resource Depot rescues approximately 83 tons of waste from our landfills transforming that into supplies for classrooms, educational programs, and the weekend tinkerer. They spark imagination through their annual memberships, field trips, a summer Junk Camp, and in-house DIY workshops for all ages.
