Getting into the holiday spirit at the Boynton Delray Holiday Boat Parade

On Friday, December 14, thousands of parade-goers lined the Intracoastal Waterway between Lantana and Delray Beach for the 48th annual Boynton Delray Holiday Boat Parade.

More than 20 brightly decorated boats headed south from the Lantana Bridge along the Intracoastal Waterway to C-15 canal in Delray Beach, each one showing off their festive side in one way or another. Many were adorned with lights, while others included inflatables, homemade decorations, carolers and more.

Many participants were focused on impressing the panel of judges, located near the Ocean Avenue Bridge in Boynton Beach, who awarded trophies and cash prizes in varying categories.

Many along the route used the occasion to party the night away, but perhaps the best part was seeing Santa’s helpers – Marines in full dress  uniform – riding along in tow boats and collecting toys along the way as part of the Toys for Tots toy drive.

For participants, some simply motored back to their original destination after the event, while others partied the night away on Atlantic Avenue in beautiful downtown Delray Beach after the parade was over.

Palm Beach Happening would like to thank the owners and crew from Cruisin Tikis West Palm Beach for allowing us to join them in the maritime fun. We can’t wait until next year!

From us to you, have a very happy holiday season!
