“We have six months before Halloween so it is a lot of fun to come out and join us as we bring back our favorite season for one night and just enjoy the spirit of Halloween,” said Billy Groeneveld, owner and co-creator of Enigma Haunt with his wife Karen. “Last season’s Lights Out sold out and we had so many requests to bring it back. This is a chance to come if you missed it or return for a very scary Friday the 13th. We are limiting it again so show up early and get your tickets.”

Lights Out features the entire haunted attraction in total darkness with creatures stalking every move for those daring enough to enter. Each guest must be 18 years or older with a valid State ID or passport and will need to sign a waiver prior to entering. They will be provided with one glow stick per group as their only source of light. Phones and other light sources are prohibited. Then, it’s time to put other senses to work as guests will hear and surely feel the breath of monsters shadowing their every move, ready to thrill for a frightful experience. Lights Out will only be available for a limited time during the Halfway to Halloween party; tickets go on sale at 7:45 p.m. on April 13th with a limit of 300 tickets. Tickets are $20 per guest.

The costume contest begins at 11:00 p.m. with 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize winners. Raffle tickets and prize give-a-ways every hour beginning at 9:00 p.m. There will be drink specials, karaoke and more. Almost everyone is aware that Enigma Haunt started out as a spooky display in the Groeneveld’s front yard. Home is, of course, where the haunt is! For fans of home haunts gone wild, you might want to check out Phobias Haunt. The haunt is run by a family of 4, and has some great volunteers every year that help us bring their imagination to life! Every year is a whole new experience! This is their 3rd third in their current location, but the 7th year overall. They’ve grown from a small scary “room” with about 20 guests in the  first year to over 500 guests last year who enjoyed about 20 minutes of unbridled horror!

They collect donations and do a 50/50 split with a local charity. Last year was The Watchful Eye Program, the year before was troubled youth, and the year before was Little Smiles.

Like many haunted attractions, Phobias offers “front of the Line” passes every year for a $5 donation per person because the line does average a 45min to an hour wait during peak hours.

They are open on Halloween night only from 7pm until ??

The management and staff of Fright Nights at the South Florida Fairgrounds just returned from the convention in St. Louis and got some cool stuff for this year’s event. Although they are not going to release our theme is until the summer, they did give Palm Beach Happening an idea of where they are headed for 2018.They will once again have scare zones scattered outside and roaming characters. Inside their main building will be our four haunted houses – two completely brand new, and two completely re-imagined.

There will be a host of brand new characters in addition to our signature characters that interact with guests. Again, we will have live entertainment, the return of our VIP lounge and over-the-top sets and details as always.
