The Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience (MPFI) is pleased to welcome Katie Edwards as the Head of Public Communications. In her new role, Edwards will manage all internal and external communications for MPFI, the only North American location of the global research organization which has 84 institutes throughout Europe.
Prior to joining MPFI, Edwards served as the Director of Communications and Development for The Society of the Four Arts for 13 years. During her time with The Society of the Four Arts, she oversaw the launch and management of the Four Arts Contemporaries program, which has held hundreds of events over the last seven years for younger supporters in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. In 2013, Edwards was given additional development responsibilities, and she helped to raise more than $30 million for the Four Arts over the course of two major capital campaigns.
