On Thursday, May 11, thirty-eight of the most discerning foodies in the Palm Beaches gathered at Table 26 to enjoy a night of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music and interesting conversation during a Sip and Savor night in conjunction with Hudson Whiskey.
The event gave people unfamiliar with the restaurant and Hudson Whiskey a chance to sample both for only $55. Diners were given a chance to enjoy the whiskey on it’s own, as well as mixed into four signature drinks that each had put their own unique spin on the spirits. It was an all you can drink affair, so, as Eddie, one of the owners of Table 26 stated, Uber should have been listed as an unofficial sponsor!
Chef Amit Jain came up with five dishes that complemented the Hudson Whiskey, as well as utilized it in their preparation; Beef Wellington, Whiskey Glazed Chicken, Duck Confit with a Spicy Cherry, Pork Belly Tostada, and Pecan Pie. Each one was filled with flavor, and made you want to come back for more!
Of course, it was a Whiskey event after all, and although the food gave them a run for the money, the drinks were the star of the show. They included a Peach-Corn Margarita, Sazerac, Maple Chocolate Old Fashioned, and Don’t Fernet the Baby. Each one was awesome in their own right, but personally, I’d recommend the margarita!
What good is a dinner party without entertainment? Throughout the night, musician Ella Herrera provided “a little bit of twang, a little bit of blues, and a whole lotta soul” for the assembled masses. Her musical style complemented the evening perfectly, and encouraged everyone to have a good time.
Palm Beach Happening would like to thank Carma Connected, William Grant and Sons, Hudson Whiskey, and Table 26 for their hospitality, and we look forward to future events and experiences.
