It is the 242nd anniversary of our independence from the colonial rule of Great Britain, and we all know what that means; fireworks! From the backyard celebrations (that are frowned upon by local law enforcement) to the huge professional displays all over the country, the Fourth of July is one of the best reasons to go out and see explosives light up the whole sky!

Fireworks + Food Truckin’ at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek

On Tuesday, July 3, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek will host a liberty-imbued celebration in homage to America’s 242nd birthday, complete with festive food trucks, live musical entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display by the world-famous Grucci of New York.

For the third year, the six-generation, family-owned company returns to Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. Holding Guinness World Records’ for “Largest Fireworks Display” and “Largest Pyrotechnic Image,” the Grucci’s are renowned for their jaw-dropping and dedicatory productions that include the last eight U.S. presidential inaugurations and the Lake Placid, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, and the Beijing Olympic Games.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and patriotic party-goers will be feted with alfresco dining options prepared by South Florida’s top food trucks, including Austin’s Franks, BC Tacos, Best French Fries, City Wing 305, Cosmos Ice Cream, CrayZlicious, Dough Dough Donuts, Meatheads BBQ, Opita, PS561, Snow Caps, Virgo Bomb, World Famous Eggroll Truck, and many others.

Local bands 56Ace and Riverdown will host live outdoor and indoor performances starting at 7 p.m. and a DJ will spin in the casino until 11 p.m. The evening culminates at 9 p.m. with a three-part, 18-minute pyrotechnic performance set to a playlist of independence-inspired melodies. The general public and invited guests can view the fireworks from two locations across from the Casino East Lot.

This is a complimentary event. In case of inclement weather, the festivities will be postponed to Wednesday, July 4 at 9 p.m.

Fourth of July Celebration

The City of Boynton Beach is celebrating America’s independence in style by presenting a FREE community event at Intracoastal Park. Enjoy live music and family entertainment from 6:00-10:30 p.m. onWednesday, JULY 4th.

Enjoy live progressive rock music from The Paradigm band.  Children activities will also be offered from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Food vendors will be on site. Bring chairs and blankets.

There is limited parking at Intracoastal park; complimentary buses will shuttle from the Ezell Hester Community Center (1901 N. Seacrest Blvd) beginning at 5:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.  The final shuttle picks up from Ezell Hester Community Center at 8:30 p.m.

Street closures start at 1:30pm on July 4th on A1A from Thomas Street to Bucida Road, and on Atlantic Avenue from A1A to northbound Federal Highway (SE 6th Avenue). Parking west of the Intracoastal Waterway is recommended.

BBQ, Brews & Blues Kicks off 4th of July Festivities in WPB

Family-friendly event features savory BBQ fare and modern blues artist Ghost Town Blues Band

The West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency will kick off Independence Day activities in West Palm Beach with the 5th annual BBQ, Brews & Blues event in the city’s Historic Northwest District on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  The family-friendly event features the area’s best barbeque vendors along with a fantastic lineup of soulful blues on Rosemary Ave., just three blocks north of Clematis Street.

Guests can enjoy free samples of delicious southern soul food and craft beers by local vendors (while supplies last) at this savory event.  Patrons should arrive early for this unique tasting of summer barbeque favorites including pulled pork sandwiches, BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, fried pork chops, sweet potato pie, boiled peanuts, pickles and more. There will also be plenty of sweet treats for kids and adults including funnel cakes, deep fried Oreos, freeze cups and more.  Patrons who would like to partake in the brew samples must be 21 years old and over, and must present their ID at the registration tent.  Additionally, there will be plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained including basketball, soccer, carnival games, and more.

The event serves up a whopping side of the blues to pair along with the tasty eats.  Headlining the evening is the must-see modern blues sensation from Memphis, Ghost Town Blues Band. GTBB is not your grandpa’s blues band – their energetic live shows captivate audiences with their horns, harmonies and homegrown instruments.  Other musical favorites performing include the dynamic soul working man Slam Allen and the contemporary jazz of Catch the Groove.

Celebrate the Fourth of July at SeaWorld Orlando

The Fourth of July is brighter than ever at SeaWorld Orlando’s Electric Ocean. The night sky will light up with fireworks, pyrotechnics and lasers during a one-of-a-kind, patriotic finale to “Ignite,” SeaWorld’s end-of-day spectacle.

The Independence Day firework display will begin at 9:30 p.m. and the best viewing area is from the park’s Bayside Stadium. Daytona International Speedway to Deliver One of the Largest Fireworks Shows in the Southeast At The Coke Zero Sugar 400

When the checkered flag waves on the 60th Coke Zero Sugar 400 on Saturday, July 7, Daytona International Speedway will light up the sky above the 2.5-mile tri-oval with one of the largest fireworks shows in the Southeast.

A tradition that began with the inaugural nighttime running of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event back in 1998, Fireworks By Santore, based in nearby Flagler County, will showcase the powerful 15-minute patriotic celebration that includes a one-minute, 30-second grand finale.

A crew of 10 will work seven days along the shores of Lake Lloyd to set up the show, which will be fired from 15 different locations using state-of-the-art digital firing equipment. Fireworks By Santore will utilize:

·         Shells ranging in size from one inch up to eight inches

·         More than 8,000 individual bursts

·         10,000+ pounds of explosive powder

·         Enough control wire to circle the 2.5-mile tri-oval two times

Types of shells included in the show range from the traditional Chrysanthemum, Peonies, Dahlias, Willows and Salutes to specialty shells such as Cube Pattern – which produce a 3-D box with the letters U.S. A. – Smiley Faces, Star Patterns, Double Rings, 4 Color Changing, Shell of Shells, Crossettes, Strobing Diadems, Twilight Glitters and vibrant new pastel colors. Other shells include Sweeping Rings, Sweeping Inward, Sweeping Outward, Mushroom, Jelly Fish, Cut Glass, Octopus, Kaleidoscopes, Diamond Screamers and Tourbillions.

LEGOLAND Florida Resort to celebrate Independence Day with biggest fireworks display of the year

LEGOLAND® Florida Resort is set to launch its largest fireworks display of the year during Red, White & Boom. The annual Independence Day celebration features a day full of fun activities including a high-energy kid dance party and a giant LEGO flag build.

On July 4, an all-American array of treats join the theme park’s menu including  a firecracker funnel cake dusted with popping candy, a dessert pizza complete with blueberries, icing and streusel crumbles and a celebratory churro covered in red or blue cinnamon topping.

When the sun goes down, guests are encouraged to wear special viewing glasses and look to the sky above Lake Eloise as it illuminates with LEGO bricks during a patriotic fireworks show. Red, White & Boom will take place from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and is included with park admission.

This Independence Day, families can celebrate summer with world-class coasters, live entertainment and an incredible extended fireworks show at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay® on Wednesday, July 4.

In addition to dancing the night away at one of the Summer Nights party zones, guests can celebrate the Fourth of July by taking on Florida’s top thrill rides, including the fan-favorite family spin coaster Cobra’s Curse™. For the Fourth of July, the park will be open from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. including the following festive activities in Gwazi Park – opening to guests at 7:45 P.M. next Wednesday evening.
