Kravis Center Gala To Roll Out Red Carpet for “Night of Stars” A Broadway Celebration

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts continues its long tradition of bringing legendary, award-winning artists to the stage with its upcoming Gala “Night of Stars” A Broadway Celebration!, on Friday, January 12, 2018. The Gala is once again chaired by long-time Kravis Center supporters Kathryn C. Vecellio and Monika E. Preston. Gala Vice Chair is Irene Karp, Honorary Gala Grand Broadway Chairs are Sondra and David S. Mack and Honorary Gala Chair is Kravis Center Board Chairman Michael J. Bracci.

“As always, the Kravis Center has outdone itself with an incredible lineup for the “Night of Stars” A Broadway Celebration!,” said Mrs. Vecellio. “This salute to Broadway at the Gala is perfect, as the Kravis Center is also celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Kravis On Broadway, the series of Broadway hits it presents each season. Because many of the Gala guests return every year, it is consistently a sold-out success, so I encourage everyone to get their tickets early!”

The black-tie evening begins with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., followed by exhilarating performances by some of Broadway’s finest artists. Highly respected entertainers appearing include Brian Stokes Mitchell, two-time Tony Award winner; Chita Rivera, two-time Tony Award winner; Mary Michael Patterson, star of Broadway’s Phantom of the Opera; Claybourne Elder from Broadway’s Sunday in the Park With George; Kravis Center Pops Orchestra, Conductor Luke Frazier, Director Robert Pullen and more to be announced. The Gala will continue with dinner and dancing in the Gimelstob Ballroom, located in the Cohen Pavilion.

“We hear from guests every year how much fun they have at the Kravis Center Gala and that they look forward to it each season. The red carpet cocktail reception, headliner entertainment and elegant dinner dance are trademarks of the Kravis Center Gala,” said Mrs. Preston. “I am proud to be part of this exciting event and thank the other chairs, committee members and sponsors for helping make “Night of Stars” A Broadway Celebration! a tremendous success.”
