Leila celebrates several food holidays with flair

Fun is in full swing at Leila with many whimsical (but tasty!) upcoming food events. Nestled downtown at the corner of Datura and Dixie, just one block south of Clematis Street, the Middle Eastern restaurant boasts a delicious, daily spread of appetizers, salads and main dishes sure to satisfy every appetite.

Since Tuesday, May 7 is “Leg of Lamb Day,” Leila’s will be offering a special leg of lamb dinner. The meal will consist of roasted leg of lamb, a Greek salad, and two special sides. Enjoy entertainment by a Turkish coffee-cup reader for plenty of fortune-telling fun. Reservations are suggested.

Sunday, May 13 is “National Hummus Day” and Leila has the best in town. Come enjoy special tastings of velvety blends of the chickpea pate seasoned with garlic, lemon and sesame tahini (and more). Hummus-making demonstrations will be happening throughout the day on the patio.

Tuesday, June 12 is “International Falafel Day.” Challenge your friends to see who can eat the most of these delicious croquettes of ground chickpeas, onion and aromatic spices hand rolled then lightly fried to perfection ($8/order). The winner will receive a gift certificate to the restaurant. Leila will also have a special “buy one, give one” promotion with proceeds going to feed the West Palm Beach Police Athletic League’s athletes.

“We love seeing our patrons have fun with food,” say owners Akram and Mirielle Awad. “We decided to create some exciting events for everyone to enjoy!”

There’s always adventure happening at Leila. Every Friday and Saturday night, enjoy belly-dancing entertainment at 7:30 and 9:00 p.m. For extra fun, try the smoothness of fruitful pipe tobaccos, blended especially for Leila’s old-world hookah.

Known as casually-chic, the cosmopolitan grille features authentic, fresh and healthy regional served with a special vibe unlike anything else offered in South Florida restaurants. An OpenTable Diners’ Choice Award Winner (2015), Leila is known for engaging all your senses to provide a memorable collage of colorful sights, alluring smells and exciting tastes whatever time of day you might decide to visit.
