Seven Local Restaurants Compete for BEST BITE FOR THE VETS at Crane’s Beach House

Cathy Balestriere, general manager of Crane’s Beach House Boutique Hotel & Luxury Villas, today announced that the popular boutique hotel in celebrating its 15th Anniversary by hosting a major party for fans and friends on Tuesday, November 15, from 6 to 8:30 pm. The party will include this year’s BEST BITE FOR THE VETS restaurant competition featuring seven local favorites:

+ Che!!! Restaurant, the new Argentine steakhouse at 900 E. Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach

+ Papa’s Tapas, the perfect spot for Latin dishes at 259 NE 2nd Avenue in Delray Beach

+ Patio Delray, with its eclectic, upscale cuisine at 800 Palm Trail in Delray Beach

+ Pizza Rustica, with its Roman-style, gourmet rectangular pizzas at 1155 East Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach.

+ Streb’s Restaurant, a fine restaurant specializing in steaks and seafood at 1880 Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach

+ Tim Finnegan’s Irish Pub, which offers authentic Irish food and live music at 2885 S. Federal Highway in Delray Beach

As an added twist, this year’s BEST BITE will be the finale of the HOW Foundation’s inaugural Dine for Veterans promotion. (Learn more at: www.dineforveterans.com.) Each restaurant will have special food station from which it will be offering a variety of tasty goodies as they compete for a brand new title: BEST BITE FOR THE VETS.

The cost to attend is only $15 per person, which will include one drink ticket, a free “chance to win” ticket for special gifts and a token to use for voting for BEST BITE winner. Every time a person buys a drink (alcoholic or not) from either of the two popular tiki bars at Crane’s, they will receive another voting token. At the end of the event, the restaurant with the most tokens will be declared the winner.

Best of all, $10 from each admission will be split evenly between two patriotic nonprofit organizations based in Delray Beach:

+ HOW Foundation of South Florida, which increases awareness about the medicinal benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and raises supplementary funds for helping wounded warriors and other individuals receive treatment for HBOT indications not typically covered by insurance. Crane’s Beach House’s 15th Anniversary Party & Best Bite for the Vets will be held throughout the hotel, around both beach-like swimming pools and the two large Tiki Huts. Live jazz music & special guests will be featured throughout the evening. There will also be an assortment of desserts to celebrate “15 Years of Success” at Crane’s Beach House Boutique Hotel & Luxury Villas.
