Miami Vice at Death or Glory Launches Memorial Day Weekend

Death or Glory will launch a new summer cocktail over Memorial Day weekend to signal the start of summer.

“Our Miami Vice is a mix of two frozen cocktails with fresh, house made ingredients and top quality syrups. We won’t be pouring them out of a carton,” co-owner Annie Blake said.

Half of the drink is a traditional frozen pina colada with Wray & Nephew Rum, pineapple and house made coconut cream. The other half is a frozen strawberry daiquiri with Appleton Rum, house made strawberry puree, strawberry syrup and fresh lime juice. They are served together in a glass.  The Miami Vice will be available for the first time during Memorial Day Weekend at a special price ($10). After that, the price will increase.

Death or Glory is located in the historic Falcon House, which was originally built in 1925. Its name was derived from the battle cry motto of the Queen’s Royal Lancers, and made popular in the 1979 song “Death or Glory” by The Clash.  Its canopied, outdoor Tiki Bar and sophisticated, yet laid back vibe, is a popular hangout for Delray Beach locals, as well as a unique dining destination for visitors.

Other cocktail options include the most popular drink at the bar right now, the Rose Tattoo with vodka, a cucumber ribbon, lemon, rose water mist and prosecco ($12).

Party Like It’s 1999, is served is in a big, copper disco ball and serves 4-8 people. It is made with Absolut Elyx Vodka, pomegranate cordial, grapefruit and apple cider ($65). Or try the Swipe Right with gin, lychee, pink peppercorn, lime and Fever tree Tonic ($14).
