Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz, the producing partners behind MNM Productions, one of South Florida’s hottest, award-winning theatre companies, today announced that the Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches and The Pap Corps, Champions for Cancer Research will be the nonprofit partners for the October 5 preview performance of its next production, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, which will run October 6-22 at the Kravis Center’s Rinker Playhouse.
“Using a show’s preview performance to raise thousands of dollars for a valuable cause or organization is a tradition for MNM Productions,” says co-producer Lifshitz. “Previous beneficiaries include the Kretzer Piano Music Foundation and The Pap Corps for Stephen Sondheim’s Company, Alpert Jewish Family & Children’s Service for Monty Python’s Spamalot, Communities in Schools and car crash victim Adam Hewko for Hair, and the Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches (MCCPB) for The World Goes ‘Round.”
“For the preview performance for LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, we are very pleased to partner once again with two extraordinary organizations: the Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beaches, the largest faith-based community in Palm Beach County dedicated to serving the local LGBT community and its family members and friends, and The Pap Corps, Champions for Cancer Research, which has raised more than $50 million for cancer research for the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine,” adds co-producer Gorman-Althof.
Lupita Hollywood and Pepper Monroe are serving as Honorary Co-Chairs of MCCPB’s Preview Performance of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES.
