Palm Beach County ERM Announces Free Spring 2018 “Adventure Awaits” Event Series

Palm Beach County’s Department of Environmental Resources Management (ERM) invites the public to experience the wild beauty of the county’s natural areas through its 11th season of the free event series, Adventure Awaits. With 12 events scheduled in April and May, there are many opportunities to interact with ERM naturalists as they lead hiking and paddling tours, and host nature photography workshops.

Events this season include two swamp tromps, a butterfly hike, Growing Up Wild – A Bug’s Life where kids learn about bugs on the trail, and a native plant identification hike.

“We are extremely grateful to be able to connect with the community and introduce residents to new adventures by exploring the trails and observing the vibrant wild life in our natural areas,” said ERM Director Deborah Drum.

The Adventure Awaits series encourages residents to explore their own backyard. Adventures vary in level from beginner to more advanced, and each is a different experience. Space is limited, and advanced registration is required for all events.

The schedule for Adventure Awaits and other activities is on Facebook at www.facebook.com/PBCERM/events. To reserve your spot for an event, please visit pbcerm.eventbrite.com.
