Avocado Grill’s Chef/Owner Julien Gremaud is making plans to celebrate an extraordinary first year at his north county location. Gremaud, who recently celebrated the 4th anniversary of his Downtown West Palm Beach restaurant, is excited for the January 17th celebration at his Palm Beach Gardens restaurant nicknamed AG2. And, in true Gremaud (and AG) fashion, there will be a not-to-be-missed fiesta featuring a paella party, live music, flamenco dancing and sangria and croquetta specials.
For the fiesta, Gremaud will be cooking paella on AG2’s regularly packed outdoor terrace while guests can enjoy live flamenco music and dancing starting at 6pm. “I’m incredibly grateful for everyone’s support during our expansion with AG2. We could never have achieved so much in one year without the dedication of our talented team and enthusiastic guests who return weekly to dine with us,” says Gremaud.
Longtime supporters of Avocado Grill’s original location have undoubtedly contributed to its astounding first year at Downtown at the Gardens. They turned out in droves on a Thursday evening in December when Chef Gremaud hosted a sold-out event featuring three popular Food Network personalities at his Palm Beach Gardens restaurant. Chefs Amanda Freitag, Robert Irvine and Marc Murphy created a mouth-watering, five-course Caribbean feast as part of the 12th Annual Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival.
“Collaborating with talented chefs in events like the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival is one of my favorite things,” continues Gremaud. Guests who attended the $185 per person, December 13th event also enjoyed wine pairings and select hand-crafted cocktails. Each year the festival brings together an eclectic collection of the world’s award-winning chefs, culinary personalities, authors, winemakers and mixologists.
Gremaud, a South Florida culinary visionary who grew up in France, is always on the go. Fans may spot him attending to intricate details of restaurant décor while simultaneously creating new menus, collaborating with other celebrity chefs to host A-list events, happily cooking in one of his bustling kitchens and even DJ’ing and dancing at Sunday brunches. Chef Gremaud credits his supportive wife and young son for keeping him grounded while living out his childhood dream to share healthy and delicious food.
The award-winning, busy chef also loves to give back to his community. He has his eyes focused firmly on the future as he takes on more leadership and planning roles with local philanthropic events such The Palm Beaches Taste of the Nation, part of the national No Kid Hungry movement, and in Hunger Action Month to benefit the Palm Beach County Food Bank. He also supports the local Susan G. Komen Florida as finding a cure for breast cancer has become personal for him.
Avocado Grill recently celebrated a feature in the national Veranda Magazine, where locals suggested the must visit restaurant. The restaurant was also recently awarded the title of Best Guacamole in Palm Beach County by WPTV and a drove of awards they’ve racked up over the years.
