Chorus auditions for Palm Beach Opera’s 2017 Season will be held Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2, 2016.
Palm Beach Opera’s 2017 season repertoire includes: the annual Opera @ The Waterfront concert, Giacomo Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto and rounding out the season will be Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance.
Auditions are by appointment only, and applicants must complete and submit the audition request form prior to Friday, March 25, 2016. Form can be found at: www.pbopera.org/about-us-2/
Auditions are available for men and women singers ages 18 and older. Professional singers with training and experience with operatic literature and performance are encouraged to apply. All singers must prepare two classical songs or arias, one of which must be in a foreign language (preferably Italian, French, or German), and may be asked to prepare a short excerpt from one of the upcoming operas in addition to the audition repertoire. A pianist will be provided.
