What: Wine & Cheese Fest benefiting Little Smiles charity
When: Wed., Oct. 4, 6-9 p.m.
Details: Enjoy live music while sipping wine along with a complimentary wine glass and cheese plate (while supplies last) from the regions of Italy. Free admission. Little Smiles will be collecting donations at the event. Little Smiles helps heal hearts and create smiles by providing gifts and fun activities to children impacted by serious illness, homelessness or tragedy.
What: Wild 95.5’s Brew & Chew Music Fest
When: Sat., Oct. 7, from noon-6 p.m.
Details: This music festival will feature gourmet food trucks, craft beer, interactive fun zones, various vendors and entertainment, which will include live, local DJ JayR along with the main attraction — a live performance by British singer and actress Rita Ora. What: Palm Beach Outlets Boca Raton Bowl Tailgate Party
When: Thurs., Oct. 12, from 5:30–8 p.m.
Details: A community event benefitting the Boca Raton Bowl’s charitable partner, Spirit of Giving, and local nonprofit Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County. Local restaurants will participate in a fun “tailgate” challenge to battle it out in a cook-off for local celebrity judges. To help turn up the heat and get the local community in the football spirit, all guests are encouraged to wear their favorite college colors and represent their alma mater with pride. This event offers an opportunity to mix and mingle with various chamber members and football fans, try local restaurant’s featured recipes, and enjoy a mix of spirits and beverages. Tickets are available through the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches and are $15 in advance, $20 at the door for chamber members and $30 for non-members. What: Third annual Shop for Success
When: Fri., Oct. 13, and Sat., Oct. 14, from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sun.,15, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Details: Dress For Success Palm Beaches is clearing its racks for shoppers to score some great deals while helping out this nonprofit organization, which will be using the storefront next to Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH for three days. They will be selling clothing, shoes, and accessories to raise money for their programs. The sale will also feature a “Couture Corner” with items from desired designers such as Tory Burch, Lilly Pulitzer, Chanel, Armani, Prada, St. John, Escada and more at 70 percent off retail prices. Dress for Success’ mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
What: Second annual fundraising Phantom 5K, Monster Mile and Devil Dash
When: Sat., Oct. 28 – Registration opens at 6 a.m. Phantom 5K – 7:30 a.m., Monster Mile – 8:45 a.m., Kids Devil Dash – 9 a.m., Awards Ceremony – 9 a.m., Stores open at 10 a.m.
Description: Hundreds of people are expected to take part in the Phantom 5K, Monster Mile and Devil Dash. The Phantom Run and Monster Mile are for adults, students and “Senior Sneakers” 65 and up. The Kids Devil Dash is for kids 7 and younger. To add to the fun, participants are encouraged to wear costumes. Proceeds benefit Quantum House, a caring and supportive home that lessens the burden for families whose children are receiving treatment in Palm Beach County for a serious medical condition. What: Cars & Coffee presented by Art of Speed Auto Events

Details: “Trunk or Treat” Auto Event and Costume Party, is the theme of this month’s Cars & Coffee Palm Beach event. This monthly gathering of South Florida’s finest automobiles attracts auto enthusiasts from south and central Florida to view a massive diversity of exotic, custom and classic vehicles.
