What better way to cheer someone up then with flowers? That is part of the mentality for Petals With Purpose, a new charitable organization that offers a unique service to the Palm Beach community. They re-purpose flowers left over from weddings, galas, special events, corporate parties, or any large event and delivers them to area hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, children’s clinics, and hospice.
Along with a debut party, Petals With Purpose started off their mission by having many localflorists donating flower arrangements to Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation and the Boulevard Rehabilitation Center. Donators include Prevatte Florist, Glamour Flowers, The Blossom Shoppe, Love’s Flower Shoppe, Costal Wholesale, Epic Arrangements, and Whole Foods Market (Wellington location).
The charity works to spread joy, spark hope, and offer people an easy way to give back to the community. They coordinate everything from acting as the liaison between you and the recipients to the pickup and drop off of the flowers. They can also provide tax deductible receipts to the donating party from the recipient or non-profit organization.
