Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale announces inaugural October Sausage Fest

What a time to be alive! On October 21, 2017, Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale will hold the inaugural October Sausage Fest at Esplanade Park. Come one, come all from 2 pm to 6 pm for a celebration of the many flavors of sausages from around the world.

The world of sausage is often an underestimated and over simplified macrocosm, but we invite you to think outside the bun. Expand your sausage horizons past the kid-approved hot dog and delve into the connoisseur’s kryptonites like kielbasa and chorizo. A selection of vendors will delight attendees with a variety of dishes starring an extensive selection of choice sausages. Creative and mouth-watering dishes are sure to impress all who attend. Refreshments will also be available for purchase.

Friendly and well-behaved doggies on leashes (especially dachshunds) are welcome to attend this free event with their humans. Hot dog costumes are not mandatory but are strongly encouraged. A DJ will set the tone for the afternoon’s festivities and kids and big kids will enjoy fun activities in the beautiful South Florida sunshine.

To date, 2017’s participants include The Historic Downtowner, Dutchy’s Gourmet Sausages, Holy Cow Food Truck, Ken’s Weenie Wagon, Sausage Party with more sure to follow.

This event is made possible by the support of the following sponsors and partners: Big Mouth Girlz, Weekend Broward, Palm Beach Happening, Go Riverwalk Magazine, The Media Lab, The Original Sign Man, and College Hunks Hauling Junk.
