Seagull Services’ program participants perform Sketches in Black History Friday

Commemorating Black History Month, the program participants at Seagull Services are writing, designing, and performing a program on the lives of 9 African Americans who made history. They’ll recreate moments in the lives of the individuals – among them, Jackie Robinson who broke baseball’s color line, and Katherine Johnson whose work on the NASA Space Program was portrayed in Hidden Figures.  They’ll also perform skits depicting how these remarkable individuals impacted life as we know it – did you know that inventor Garrett Morgan was the man who invented the traffic signal?

Sketches in Black History takes place Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at Seagull Services headquarters, 3879 Byron Drive. It runs from 10-11:30 a.m.
