Special Days and Ways to Save at the South Florida Fair

The fair starts on Friday, and no one wants to have to pay full price to get in the door. You don’t have to be a VIP to get special admission, as long as you know some of the tricks and promotions that are going on this year.

Of course, the easiest way to pay less than full price is to purchase advance tickets. Available at Publix and other partners until Thursday, January, 12, these tickets save you 20% or more. More money for rides, food, and fun!

If you miss out on that, you can take advantage of some of the following offers, too.

 

22740 Ride-a-thon, 5 to 10 p.m., Thurs., Jan. 12 – Admission and rides only (buildings and attractions open Fri., Jan. 13). $15 per person with coupon that can be downloaded from the fair’s website, www.southfloridafair.com. Regular price is $20. Fireworks at 7:30 p.m. Offer valid during Ride-a-thon only. Some rides excluded.

 

Attend the fairs opening ceremony, 11:30 a.m. Fri., Jan. 13, for free admission –

Those who attend the fair’s opening ceremony in the Expo West building will be admitted free but guests should plan to arrive early, as seating is limited.

 

Get a free admission ticket by attending opening day, Fri., Jan. 13, and using an advance admission ticket – Guests may use their advance admission ticket on opening day of the fair and receive one free admission ticket to return another day, Jan. 14-29, compliments of Publix.

 

$2 Fat Tuesdays, Jan. 17 and 24 – Admission, rides and food bites will be $2 all day. Some rides excluded.

 

Goodwill BOGO Days, Wed., Jan. 18, and Wed., Jan. 25. – Buy one regular price adult gate admission and the second person will get in free. Must be used at time of purchase. Coupon is available at Palm Beach County Goodwill stores or online at www.southfloridafair.com. Cannot be combined with any other offer.

 

“Bike Nite” Parades, Thurs., Jan. 19 and Thurs., Jan. 26 – Arrive at 6 p.m. and pay only $5 admission per person to participate in the fair’s bike parade. Guest must ride on a motorcycle to receive admission special. General seating for the concerts these nights is free (Molly Hatchet concert on Jan. 19 and 38 Special on Jan. 26). Senior Day, Mon., Jan. 23 – Special Senior day admission: $5 per person for ages 60 or better. ID required.

 

American Heroes Day, Thurs., Jan. 26 – All active military, veterans, firefighters, law enforcement personnel and their families will be admitted for just $7 by going to the main expo entrance of the fair or the entrance at Yesteryear Village to get admission coupon and then presenting it at any ticket window. To receive special ride discounts, visit the Wells Fargo booth inside the South Florida. Valid proof of service with photo I.D. required. Eligible person must be present.
