From Cajun to zydeco to blues to rock and everything in between, Big Al & the Heavyweights offer a musical gumbo sure to please all! Formed in 1996 as the Unknown Blues Band, with founding members Big Al Lauro, Warren Haynes and Rick Gergen, this New Orleans group has been featured at festivals and venues throughout the U.S. and will now be coming to the West Palm Beach Waterfront to deliver a family-friendly, energetic, and most of all fun, live performance.

Established in 1999, Luis Manuel & The Charambo Band performs classic salsa with a touch of cuban son, Latin jazz, cha-cha-cha, cumbia and merengue. With members from Cuba, Puerto Rico and Venezuela, this 7-piece band delivers a high-energy performance with the blend of piano, bass, conga, timbal, two trombones and lead singer Luis Manuel. Manuel’s vocal style and talent are evident in the way he passionately sings from the heart. Dancing shoes are a must for this Clematis by Night!

Jason K and Signal Fire is an exciting and dynamic project conceived out of 5 other top local bands. Offering more than the typical guitar, bass and drum format, the band features a killer keyboardist and brings to the stage a big-concert feeling. In addition to performing their own compositions, the group performs cover songs with unmatched energy and expert precision.

Hailing from South Florida, Professor Pennygoode’s Mighty Flea Circus is a non-stop, good-time ‘swingabilly’ band with one mission: to get Clematis by Nights guests moving! This five-piece group blends together their original material with a unique take on music from the 40s and 50s, rockabilly, jump and swing artists of today. With a repertoire of familiar tunes from artists like Louis Jordan, Wanda Jackson, Brian Setzer, Keely Smith, Louis Prima, and an ever-growing list of new artists and original music, this band is sure to keep the audience jumping.

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket, the premier Saturday spot to gather fresh food and local goods, will kick off the 24th season on Saturday, October 6, 2018. One of the largest markets in the region, the GreenMarket features a variety of products, including fresh produce, exotic plants and flowers, herbs and spices, baked goods, gourmet and specialty foods, coffee and teas, and much more. The GreenMarket also features live music, unlimited mimosas for $10, free activities for kids, plus plentiful green space and seating for a morning of fun and relaxation. This Saturday morning ritual in downtown West Palm Beach is the place to see and be seen! The GreenMarket is dog-friendly and always FREE.

Despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector, and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.

Outdoor movie watching has never been more inviting than on the West Palm Beach Waterfront. Monthly, on the second Friday of the month, the City of West Palm Beach turns the Great Lawn into an open-air theater – movie and included views of the stars and sea are both FREE. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair and snuggle up for featured films – including newly released hits and throwback favorites. “Best of British” (Tribute to Queen/Def Leppard)

October’s Palm Beach Post Sunday on the Waterfront will feature the “Best of British.” The two performances – packed into one night – will rock guests back to the huge arena shows of the ‘80s. The unique concert will feature a note for note musical recreation of two of the best-selling British rock bands of all time, Def Leppard and Queen. The evening begins when Ultimate Def Leppard recreates all of the songs from the rock band’s two record-breaking albums, Pyromania and Hysteria.  Guests will sing and dance along to classic rock anthems such as “Pour Some Sugar On Me,” “Rock of Ages,” and “Photograph”

Immediately following, Absolute Queen, a tribute band known for capturing the live energy and precision of an ultimate Queen concert experience, will perform all of the hits from the group’s biggest-selling album, including iconic tunes like “We Will Rock You,” and “We Are the Champions.” This large production features lead vocalist Martyn Jenkins, who performed for years across Europe as Freddie Mercury in the show “Night at the Opera” for the international Queen Fan club and even shared the stage with original Queen guitarist Brian May.

The “Best of British” are coming, so be sure to arrive early and stay late for the exciting double feature lineup!
