SNOW DAY: PILES OF SMILES

Sugar Sand Park Community Center invites your family to experience a South Florida rarity…SNOW! On Saturday, December 16 from 10am-4pm, children ages 5 to 12 will enjoy playing in tons of real snow at the 7th annual Piles of Smiles “Snow Day.” This must-do winter event also features giant slides, winter games, a sock skating rink, holiday activities, strolling winter characters, make & takes, bounce houses, and more. Plus, come see how fast your shot is and test your hockey skills at the Florida Panthers Slap Shot Cage!  Activity bracelets will be available at the event for children who do not wish to participate in snow play.

Rides and activities are for children only. Food vendors will also be onsite.

THE SNOW QUEEN in the Willow Theatre Hans Christian Andersen’s tale of adventure comes to life in this musical adaptation.  Gerda must save her friend, Kay, who has become enchanted and can see no good in the world.  Gerda seeks help from a talking (and singing) crow, the notorious (and comic) Robber Prince, and a Reindeer Herder (and her audience participant reindeer), as they try to save Kay from the mysterious Snow Queen. Rated G

THE MUTTVILLE COMIX in the Willow Theatre Johnny Peers, a Ringling Bros Clown College graduate, and his personality-plus canines are coming to tickle your funny bone! Starring rescue dogs like Noodles the skateboarding Basset Hound, and Murphy the ladder climbing Fox Terrier, this is a show the whole family will enjoy. Rated G

These monthly, hour-long classes for home schoolers offer explorers a chance to participate in fun, social and educational science programs.
