BACK TO SCHOOL SPLASH
Sugar Sand Park Community Center celebrates the end of summer vacation with water slides, games, giveaways, prize drawings, and more! Plus get a sneak peek at our fall programs. Actors wanted for Sugar Sand Park Community Center’s 12th annual Shriek Week Halloween Event, taking place the last two weekends in October. Scare zones include two Haunted Houses and a haunted trail. Auditions take place Thursday, September 1 at 6pm and Saturday, September 3 at 2pm. Come prepared to improvise and do cold readings. Head shots, resume and prepared monologue are appreciated but not required.
Sugar Sand Park Community Center Juried Art Exhibition

SUNDAY FAMILY MOVIE
Enjoy our Sunday family movie in the Maple room. Please see our website (www.sugarsandpark.org) for movie titles. The 2pm show is sensory friendly for individuals with sensory processing disorders.

DRAW LIKE AN ARTIST Ages 18 & up
Learn about various artists and their works in this unique drawing class. Participants will learn the art techniques needed to create their own piece based on each style. All supplies are included. There are two different 2-hour sessions on each Saturday.

TOT TIME Ages 1-4
A great way to keep your child active and social. Toys, costumes, bubbles, crafts, and snacks in an indoor playroom. Drop- ins welcome at any time during the program.

FUSHU DAIKO Presented by Fushu Daiko Come enjoy an art form that builds on a 2,600+ year old tradition of Japanese drumming. The music combines the traditional drums and rhythms of Japan with musical styles from around the world to create an exciting, powerful, cross-cultural experience that strives to cross boundaries and connect cultures. Each child’s ticket includes a free carousel ride token and cookies & juice served in the lobby after the performance. Tickets required for everyone, regardless of age. Kids will build their own houses out of sponges and cover them with a seed paste that really grows, teaching them about seed germination.

This month take a closer look at the moon, Mars, and Saturn.
