Talk of the Town: A coalition of statewide and local groups fearing for the safety of immigrants are standing in solidarity with the separated families and are calling for families to be reunited immediately

Immigrants across Florida feel more threatened than ever before, with attacks on the national level being amplified by local anti-immigrant policies and corporations that are ready to make profits out of the suffering of the immigrant community. In response,  FAU Student Power, Migra Watch – Palm Beach County, Palm Beach County DSA, Florida Student Power Network, Women’s March – Florida, Women’s March Florida- PBC, Florida Immigrant Coalition, Diáspora en Resistencia, organized an event this weekend, where immigrant voices will be lifted and where next steps and actions will be shared with the community. Also, major actions will be happening nationwide.

Anyone who wants more information about their constitutional rights when in contact with law enforcement or border patrol should call the FLIC Immigrant Hotline for assistance in Spanish, English, and Kreyol: 1-888-600-5762.
