Another warm afternoon across south Florida, and a lot of activity in the tropics.
Our weather pattern won’t change much each day over the next week. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s with plenty of humidity and partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. A few scattered showers will move on shore each day as well, but most areas do stay dry. We do have a high risk of rip currents at the beaches this week due to hurricane Florence.
Florence is still a category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds at 130mph. It is moving northwest and will be making landfall along the Carolina coast on Friday. Catastrophic storm surge and rainfall will be likely Friday and into the weekend for both North and South Carolina.
Isaac is still a tropical storm with 60mph. It continues to move west towards the Caribbean Sea but will likely dissipate by the beginning of next week, and not pose any threat to south Florida.
