Weather Wednesday, July 4th edition

A stormy end to the work week. We will see afternoon thunderstorms for the rest of today, Thursday and then again on Friday afternoon. We’ll be hot and humid with highs near 90.

If you have any exciting holiday plans, the weather should cooperate nicely. Rain chances will be much lower Saturday and Sunday, although it will still be very hot with highs near 90 again, and a heat index close to 100.

Next week, that drier trend will continue. Monday and Tuesday will be hot, with only a small chance of a few storms. That is good news for fireworks on the 4th of July!
