The City of West Palm Beach Department of Parks and Recreation is set to host the annual FitKids Triathlon for ages 4 – 14 on Sunday, May 21 at 7:30 a.m.
The FitKids Triathlon is the longest running “Youth Only” multisport event in the State of Florida! The course is designed with the utmost safety possible. The event takes place at Gaines Park, 1501 N. Australian Avenue, which is closed to all traffic. The swim takes place in the pool, the bike on the park road and the run is on the fitness path. Volunteers are plentiful and always offer a smile and cheer to encourage the participants.
The FitKids Triathlon promotes youth fitness and health. With the financial assistance of many sponsors, the event is a high quality, low cost triathlon designed specifically for kids. The entry fee is $20 per person.
At the park, you can visit the vendor area which is packed with information and FREE items. There will be a tasty array of healthy food and snacks for all participants.
Registration Deadline: Monday, May 15. Register at www.teamsideline.com/wpbathletics. Packet Pickup is Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 9:00 am – 10:15 am at Gaines Park or on Race Day from 6:30 – 7:30 a.m. Please arrive at least an hour prior to race time. That should leave you enough time to park, walk into the park, and place bikes in the transition area.
