Citizenship ceremony, final $2 Tuesday, and Tyzen the hypnotist featured at South Florida Fair today

Today’s South Florida Fair highlights will include the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ special citizenship ceremony at noon in the Party Pavilion tent. More than 500 candidates from 65 countries will become U.S. citizens. The public is welcome to attend.

Guests will be admitted to the fair on the final Tuesday for just $2. Promoted as “$2 Tuesdays,” most rides and games also will cost just $2 and every food vendor will feature at least one $2 food offering from its menu.

“No matter the weather, the fair cannot be beat for $2 with all of our indoor activities,” said Vicki Chouris, the fair’s vice president.

Indoor activities include a body-defying show by Stars of the Peking Acrobats, the ever-popular Ice Parades Skating Show, and Master Hypnotist Tyzen, who returns after having to cancel his weekend shows due to illness.

A Mardi Gras themed parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. with participants strolling and marching through the fairgrounds
