Poems with Purpose

Today,  Holly DressON NOT Holly DressOFF, author of #30DifferentMicrophonesIn30days, as well as the founder of the #PauseReflectMoveForward movement,  brings us the second edition of our  “Poetry with Purpose Fridays.”

Whatever

Whatever it is?

Will be

You can’t make them think what you want them to think

You can’t make anybody do what they don’t want to

You can’t make anybody feel something they don’t

Know this

You are amazing just how you are

Who you were

Isn’t necessarily who you are today

And who you are now?

Isn’t necessarily who you will be tomorrow

You see

What is meant to be

Will be

Don’t force

Continue to stay your course

If you try to put a round peg into a square hole?

You won’t ever reach your goal

Ask yourself what is your role?

In this life that you have been given

Know that you are forgiven

Of your past

This is why it is behind you

It wasn’t supposed to last

Your life is not

Whatever
