Finally seeing sunshine on this Weather Wednesday, but it doesn’t last long.
Some drier air has mixed into the area so rain chances have dropped some for today and tomorrow. We’ll see scattered showers and a few storms today and Thursday with temperatures in the 80s. We are also monitoring a system in the tropics and the National Hurricane Center is giving an area of low pressure in the Caribbean a 60% chance of formation through the next 5 days. Regardless of formation or not, we will see a lot of rainfall this weekend.
The moisture will this system will be moving overhead Friday and into the weekend. That will really ramp up rain chances and we could see 5 to 7 inches of rain between today and Sunday night. Flooding will be a big concern for our Memorial Day Weekend.
Showers are still possible heading into the next work week.
